Which lake, how long you want to be out, what day works. If it's easier to talk it through, we'll jump on a call — but most people never need to.

Meet me at the market
We meet in the morning at Oak Hill Market on Lake Nacimiento, go over the plan for the day, and head out. The balance is due after the trip.
The boat & the gear

We fish Lake Nacimiento and Lake San Antonio year-round — spotted bass and white bass on Nacimiento, largemouth and smallmouth on San Antonio. On a decent day you'll put ten to a hundred fish in the boat. Knowing where they are that morning is the part you're paying for, and it's the same read I take to the Pro Circuit.

The things people ask me first
I've never fished before. Is that a problem?
Not at all. I genuinely enjoy teaching people the sport I love, and every experience level is welcome on my boat. I'll rig everything, show you the cast, and stay out of your way once you've got it.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes, and it's the one thing not covered in the price. You can buy a one-day California license online in about five minutes — I'll send you the link once we've picked a date.
Where do we meet?
Oak Hill Market out on Lake Nacimiento, about a 15–20 minute drive from Paso Robles. We meet in the morning, go over the plan for the day, and head out from there.
How many people can come?
Three on the boat. The price is for the trip, not per person, so bringing two others costs nothing extra.
What do I need to bring?
Just a hat and sunglasses. You'll be fishing high-end rods and reels with all the tackle for the day — the same setups I fish in competition. Water and drinks are aboard, and lunch comes with the six-hour trips.
What are we catching?
Spotted bass and white bass mainly — Nacimiento is the only lake in California with a white bass fishery — plus real shots at bigger largemouth. Depending on the season and the day, you can expect anywhere from ten to a hundred fish.
When can I book? Is there a season?
I run trips year-round on both lakes. Which lake we fish depends on the time of year and what's happening that week — that's part of what we'll sort out when you text me.
How do I pay?
A $100 deposit holds your date, which I'll take once we've settled on a day that works. The balance is due after the trip. I take Venmo, Zelle or cash — whatever suits you — and the deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours ahead. Booking a call costs nothing and doesn't commit you to anything.
